4140 Alloy Steel

4140 is a low alloy steel used for multiple downhole tool applications. It is an easily heat treatable alloy steel that contains between 0.38%-0.43% carbon content and controlled ranges for chromium, molybdenum, manganese, silicon, phosphorous and silicon.
