Metal Manufacturing & Precision Machining Services

Metal Manufacturing & Precision Machining Services

SAS offers a variety of metal alloy manufacturing services, like down-hole component parts and completion tools such as

  • Crossovers, pup joints, flow couplings, and blast joints
  • Liner hangers, packers, and expandable products
  • Turnkey finished sub-components for complex completion tools

Steel alloy precision machining services available:

  • Bead blasting- A procedure used to clean, polish, or finish with the aid of propelled small abrasive particles.
  • Brush rolling- A method of applying paint or coating to a surface that evenly distributes the paint or other coating over the surface. Ensures even coverage and a smooth finish.
  • Coating- The application of a layer of material to the surface of an object for the purpose of protection, decoration, or reinforcement. Coatings can be applied by spraying, brushing, dipping, or electroplating.
  • Custom Cutting- The process of cutting material to specific dimensions or shapes according to the requirements of a particular project often requiring specialized cutting tools and machinery.
  • Drilling- A machining process that uses a drill bit to make holes in solid materials. Drilling is often used in manufacturing to create holes of various sizes and depths.
  • Five-axis precision manufacturing- A machining process that allows the workpiece to be moved and rotated simultaneously along five different axes. This allows for more complex and precise machining, allowing the production of complex components with tight tolerances.
  • Grooving- A machining operation that cuts a narrow, elongated channel or groove into a workpiece, commonly used to create features such as slots, channels, and depressions in the surface of a part.
  • Honing- A finishing process designed to improve the geometric accuracy and finish of surfaces such as cylinders and bores. Using a grinding wheel or tool to remove small amounts of material will result in a smoother, more precise surface.
  • Straightening- The process of removing or reducing bends, twists, and distortions in metal components and restoring their original or desired shape. This is often done using special machinery and techniques such as hydraulic presses and heat treatment.
  • Threading- The process of creating internal or external threads on a cylindrical surface. External thread cutting involves cutting threads on the outside of a cylindrical workpiece. Internal threading involves cutting threads inside a hole or bore.
  • Trepanning- A machining process used to create large diameter holes or bores in solid materials. This involves removing the core or chunk of material from the center of the workpiece, leaving  a cylindrical hole.
  • Turning- A machining process used to manufacture cylindrical components by removing material from a rotating workpiece on a lathe. Turning is commonly used to manufacture shafts, rods, and other cylindrical parts.
